- Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning display cases and shelves, cleaning, filling, and rotating self-serve displays. The position requires a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and involves heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods.
This fast-paced grocery store environment requires physical abilities such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory awareness. For more information, see the full job description.
