• Read and write Spanish / English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, occasionally up to 60 lb.

• Basic PC / Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain self‑serve displays in the front of the store and the bakery area.
• Take special orders and work with the Baker to determine items that need baking or decorating.
• Help clean the department by hosing down floors with soap and water.

Required certification:
Food Handler Card or equivalent.
