Position Summary
We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of store management experience. The Trainee will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize customer satisfaction, and manage financial goals. The role offers hourly pay plus commission and a bonus based on store performance.
Responsibilities- Engage customers in a friendly, professional manner and address customer issues promptly.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers, inventory, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Review and analyze store financial statements to achieve profitability goals.
- Administer inventory, loan management, merchandising, and store presentation procedures.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain the integrity of all loans.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, and documentation.
- Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profit objectives.
- Keep product knowledge current and assist employees as required.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Excellent work ethic, strong business sense, and analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays; 45+ hour work weeks are typical.
- Ability to work across multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
- Proficiency in Spanish or another language is an advantage.
