Retail Sales Associate - 0520 at First Cash

We are seeking an entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associate to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate supports both the lending and retail sides of the business, greeting customers, processing sales and loans, and helping with inquiries and problem resolution.

Full-time Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate earns hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Compensation plan details are provided during the interview process. The successful candidate will work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and support other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand and perform duties for extended periods; some duties may involve standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers outdoors or in exterior storage areas as needed.
• Minimum age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and experience with POS systems.

• Vacation: 1 week after six months; additional week after one year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after five years (subject to state/local requirements).
• Sick/personal time: 8 hours after six months; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (2–5 years); 24 hours after five years.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal performance gross profit. Details provided during interview.
