Retail Shortage Control - Part Time
Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Monitor store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft and shoplifting.
- Engage customers and associates with a confident, friendly, and energetic greeting.
- Maintain a professional appearance and presence while standing at the front of the store.
- Report theft incidents or suspicious activities to the Manager on Duty.
- Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates.
- Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs.
- Participate in store rallies and communicate theft‑prevention information.
- Review, analyze, and report business trends related to shortages.
- Maintain confidentiality, focus, and disciplined decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while visually monitoring the store environment.
- Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
- Leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
- Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
