Launch your leadership career with our comprehensive 6-month Chef Manager In-Training (CMIT) program. This immersive experience provides the skills and knowledge you need to excel as a Senior Living Chef Manager/Executive Chef. Learn directly from an experienced Belmont Village Chef Manager Preceptor at one of our vibrant assisted living and memory care communities, gradually increasing your responsibilities as you grow.

• Comprehensive Rotational Training:
  Hands-on experience in all aspects of our Food Service Program, mentorship by an experienced Chef Manager, leadership skills to manage a high-volume dining service, and the ability to maintain regulatory requirements while upholding Belmont Village's mission and values.
• Structured Mentorship and Feedback:
  Regular communication with the Program Administrator and Executive Director Preceptor, including monthly meetings, ongoing feedback, self-evaluations, and progress reports.
• Career Advancement:
  Upon successful completion of the 6-month training program and final approval, you may be promoted to a Chef Manager position based on company needs and demonstrated abilities.

• Must have a High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of food service experience, preferably in ala-carte or banquet service.
• Interest in working with older population
• Experience with food service Point of Sale (POS) Systems
• You'll receive personalized support from a dedicated mentor/preceptor throughout this paid training program. Participants are expected to actively drive their own learning and apply new skills.
• Proficient in workplace technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, and video conferencing, with ability to rapidly learn other systems
• Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24-hour operation including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential
• Relocation willingness following the training for the first Chef Manager assignment to any Belmont Village market
