If you are looking for a dynamic environment where you will be preparing delectable desserts and breads for our 3,000 events per year, this opportunity could be for you. You will report to the Executive Pastry Chef and work with a team of eight to create all of the desserts and breads that we provide to our members.

Duties and Responsibilities- Execute banquet events of up to 500 people.
- Prepare all baked goods, pastries and other bakery items per production schedule.
- Oversee pastry cart and buffet dessert table set‑up and presentation.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the bake shop.
- Schedule production of baked goods to maintain an inventory of freshly baked goods at all times.
- Prepare and serve items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standards.
- Set up, maintain and break down work station.
- Notify the Executive Pastry Chef in advance of expected product shortages.
- Requisition supplies as needed to prepare menu items.
- Ensure that the work area is safe and secure.
- Maintain a neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times.
- Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations.
- Maintain the highest sanitary conditions.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a from‑scratch production bakery.
- Fluent English speaker.
- Able to take direction well from supervisors and respond well to suggestions from others.
- Able to focus on timing, organization and sanitation.
- Detail‑oriented – you understand that the little things count.
- Follows established processes.
- Is cool under pressure.
- Acts with the members in mind. Naturally able to anticipate the needs and wants of members.
- Is a timely and effective communicator to members and co‑workers.
- Texas Food Handler Certified.
