We are currently seeking a Full‑time Cook at our Houston – Woodway community. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely preparation of meals with high‑quality presentation. Prepare meals according to approved recipes and preparation guides. Assist with sanitation of the food service areas and the receiving and inventory of supplies and products. Maintain a safe, sanitary environment and follow regulatory guidelines.
The Cook reports directly to the Executive Chef who oversees day‑to‑day operations of the community’s Food & Beverage department.
- Cook quality food.
- Style, quality and timeliness of meal service.
- Keep the kitchen and service areas clean.
- Ensure attractive meal presentation and timely preparation.
- Manage resident/guest interaction and communication.
- Maintain food production records, temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
- Control inventory.
- At least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant setting.
- Possesses strong culinary skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant‑style service relating to meal preparation, service and timing.
- Ability to read and follow recipes.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Good judgment, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
