PositionLine Cook - Part Time at our Houston - Buffalo Speedway community. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely preparation of meals with high-quality presentation. Prepare meals according to approved recipes and preparation guides. Assist with sanitation of the food service areas and with the receiving and inventory of supplies and products. Maintain a safe, sanitary environment and follow regulatory guidelines.
The Cook reports directly to our Executive Chef who oversees day-to-day operations of the communitys Food & Beverage department.
- Cook quality food and ensure timely meal service
- Style and present meals with attention to quality and timeliness
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
- Oversee meal presentation, plating, and availability of entrees
- Engage in guest relations and effective resident/guest communication
- Maintain food production records, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules
- Manage inventory control
- At least one year of experience cooking in a restaurant setting
- Strong culinary skills
- Knowledge of restaurant-style service related to meal preparation, service, and timing
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
