Hotel Saint Augustine is looking for a dedicated Garde Manger Cook to join the team! Hotel Saint Augustine is a 71-room property located in the heart of the Montrose neighborhood. The hotel is spread across five small buildings with an all-day restaurant, lobby bar, and intimate event space. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cold food preparation, including salads, cold appetizers, pâtés, terrines, and artistic food presentation. This position requires attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious cold dishes.
QualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of experience in garde manger or cold food preparation
Extensive knowledge of cold food techniques
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, especially for cold food handling
Current food handler's certificate
Ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift moderate weight
Comfortable working in cold environments such as walk-in coolers
