UTHealth Houston Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is hiring a seasonal research assistant! This role will provide support to an ongoing longitudinal research study in young adults with a focus in risk and protective factors of partner violence, called Texas Violence and Injury Prevention Research Center (VIPR). Under close direction of senior research staff, the research assistant conducts activities to support research projects.
Seasonal appointments range in duration, but may not exceed 4.5 months within a year from the start date. This role will work up to 19.5 hours weekly.

Essential Functions- Under close supervision, conducts research activities according to research protocol.
- Support senior research staff and PI in day-to-day project management tasks.
- Research activities may include some or all of the following: participant recruiting, screening, and follow up, records maintenance, field interviewing or screening, utilizing research software, and presenting updates at project meetings.
- Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to provide needed information to principal investigators and other researchers.
- Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with research protocols.
- Enters and manages data in research databases as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of the research project.
- Stays abreast of new and updated protocols for research department.
- Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum Experience1 year of related experience.
Residency RequirementEmployees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
