Overview
Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the area of DNA damage repair and cancer biology. We seek self‑motivated, career‑oriented applicants to join an exciting, highly interactive research team at MD Anderson.
Responsibilities- Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and other faculty members with scientific research projects.
- Perform research related to DNA damage repair and cancer biology, developing new strategies and tools to study tumor suppressor genes and oncogenes.
- Design and initiate experiments, adapting equipment as needed to obtain desired results.
- Develop and maintain research projects, integrating data and solving problems related to job responsibilities.
- Write manuscripts, grant applications, and progress reports.
- Perform lab duties, including maintaining equipment, stock, and materials, and assist with lab operation and maintenance.
- Carry out all duties in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Perform research projects related to DNA damage repair and cancer biology.
- Hold a recent PhD (including PhD candidates) or an equivalent doctorate, seeking a temporary appointment under faculty supervision for full‑time, laboratory‑based research preparing for an independent academic or research career.

Position Information- Full‑time postdoc position with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000, depending on years of postgraduate experience.

- Offsite work arrangements are subject to approval and may be modified or revoked based on business needs, performance, or regulatory requirements.
- May be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure; routine reviews and screening may be required.
