• Salary: $16.63 - $18.73
Provides assistance and expertise in various areas of research such as calibration of instrumentation, equipment maintenance and repair, preparation of samples for testing, monitoring of safety equipment and procedures, development and fabrication of prototype equipment, recording of test results, and basic analyses of data.
- Ensures experiments are performed according to specification.
- May make practical technical recommendations for changes in procedures, equipment, or prototype design.
- Applies advanced skills adapting techniques, tools, or procedures to meet special needs.
- Develops leadership and management skills.
- Resolves most questions referring only the most complex to higher levels.
- Adapts procedures to meet special needs.
- Receives general supervision.
- May orient and train low level employees.
In this role, you will have both management and experimental responsibilities including but not limited to mouse colony and laboratory management, tissue collection and histology, behavioral studies, and data analysis. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is highly desired as is a high degree of organization ability. Finally, this role offers the opportunity to contribute original ideas to research design and execution of projects and serve as co-author to prepare reports and manuscripts for publication.

Position is funded from research support funds and may be funded on grant funds.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education. Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
Minimum QualificationsMQ:
Associate's Degree with 3 years experience.
