Senior Research Analyst - Global Chemical Markets

About the Role:

As a Senior Research Analyst, you will be a part of a regional and global team that is responsible for market research and analysis of prices, production costs, freight, tariffs, plant capacities, and historical production for the global chemical markets. You will manage updates of chemical product market data and maintain advanced analytics & models. You will also contribute to related publications and consulting projects.

You will work closely with regional and global product experts. You will report to the VP, Research and Analysis.

The worldwide chemical industry looks to Chemical Market Analytics to guide decisions and help manage risk across the entire value chain.

• Coordinate data and content updates with regional and global team members
• Conduct research in support of forecast updates
• Contribute to the timely delivery of commercial products to clients
• Support of related publications and consulting projects
• Support development of model functionality in cooperation with developers
• Assist with the development of new commercial products and enhancements of existing commercial products

• 3-5 years’ petrochemical industry experience, including market intelligence and/or strategic planning
• Ability to identify and articulate core issues within complex problems and deliver insights and solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Excel including VBA scripting; python knowledge a plus
• Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related discipline
  -OR- equivalent work experience; post-graduate academic work in a technical field will be considered in lieu of experience
• Power BI or other business intelligence application experience (a plus)
• Python knowledge (a plus)
