The Ting Lab focuses on epigenetic regulation in both healthy and disease contexts. We have pioneered next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based DNA methylome assay and analytical methods, and we have successfully applied these tools for studying genome-wide changes in DNA methylation patterns in human diseases. In addition to mapping the epigenetic mark, we are also working on understanding the functional consequences of these aberrant patterns as well as the molecular mechanisms that initiate and propagate such abnormal features.
* LEARNING OBJECTIVES
* - Conduct research on cancer epigenetics
- Plan, organize, perform, and monitor daily project protocols
- Collect, prepare, and maintain required research documentation
- Prepare and present research progress and results
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
* ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* A recent PhD or MD/PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, or other similar topics.
