Junior Chemist
Laboratory
Houston, Texas, US
Contract:
6 Months
Pay: 23.33

- Support R&D formulation and development of industrial lubricants
- Conduct laboratory testing and performance evaluation (viscosity, flash point, pour point, oxidation stability, density, etc.)
- Prepare, blend, and evaluate lubricant samples for research studies
- Operate lab equipment such as viscometers, Four Ball, and Pin & Vee Block
- Analyze and document experimental data to support product development
- Collaborate with senior chemists on new and improved lubricant formulations
- Follow ASTM/DIN testing standards and lab safety protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of R&D or lab experience specifically in industrial lubricants
- Strong understanding of lubricant formulation and testing
- Experience with ASTM methods (e.g., D445, D92, D97, D4172)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
