The postdoctoral associate will lead innovative research projects focused on studying the molecular mechanisms of arrhythmias with emphasis on conduction system diseases. To identify these pathways, the postdoc will analyze and integrate data from mouse models for different diseases, human tissue, human iPSC‑derived pacemaker‑like cells and cutting‑edge approaches, including single‑cell RNA‑sequencing using bioinformatics tools and AI. The candidate should have experience in analyses of single‑cell and bulk‑tissue multi‑omics data and be expected to participate in multiple projects involving design, implementation and integration of large‑scale datasets and data processing pipelines.
Job Duties- Plans and conducts experiments, analyzes data, and prepares publications describing results.
- Implements and analyzes single‑cell RNA‑Sequencing, single‑cell ATAC‑Seq, CITE‑Seq, as well as bulk RNA‑Seq, Proteomics, and Metabolomics generated from mouse and patient cohorts with rich clinical data.
- Advanced modeling of arrhythmias using generalized linear models and machine learning.
- Helps in training and mentoring of lab personnel, including graduate and undergraduate students.
- Maintains good communication with lab leader and members.
- Reads and evaluates literature Attends scientific networking workshops/conferences.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
