The Department of Physics at the University of Houston invites applications for a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor position with a focus on condensed matter physics.
- Requires a PhD in Physics with a focus on condensed matter physics, strong experience on energy related research, particularly on hydrogen production through electrolysis, most importantly on seawater electrolysis involving catalysts, membrane, electrolyzer designing, etc.
- Experience in collaboration with industrial companies on scaling up the catalysts for practical applications of the catalysts in megawatt scale system, well published and creating a significant impact to the field reflected by a large number of citations, at least more than 10,000, with at least three years of postdoc experience, plus at least fourmore years beyond postdoc carrying out world class independent fundamental and applied research on aforementioned topics.
- Permanent residence of the United States of America is a must. When hired, he/she/they must actively apply for research grants to support his/her/their research.
