Summary:

Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products meet industry standards, customer expectations, and legal requirements. They work towards optimizing the quality of production processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency. Their responsibilities include designing and implementing quality control systems, developing and conducting tests, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions when needed. Quality Engineers also conduct audits of manufacturing processes and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that quality control systems are in place, used within the organization and are compliant with all relevant regulations, including industry standards and company policies.
  • Oversee the training of employees on quality standards and procedures to ensure adherence to quality management systems.
  • Checks and approve all projects related to Quality Control Procedures, ITPs, and Material Pre-Qualification Test Plans.
  • Lead QC Coordinator role ensuring performance of product qualification tests/documentation and quality process activities as directed.
  • Analyze, prepare and present reports summarizing the results of quality assurance quality, performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement and report findings to management. Reporting KPI data daily.
  • Develop Internal audit plans. Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Ensure that the non-conformity reports are closed out with appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
  • Conduct routine inspections of products and components to ensure they comply with work/build instructions specifications.
  • Identify supplier problems with respect to quality and delivery and recommend actions to solve these problems if necessary.
  • Design, develop and implement methods for parts replacement, process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Promote and execute quality work standards/instructions, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the operations processes, suggest/implement corrective actions and develop methods to measure improvement and monitor processes.
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and equipment failures related to product quality and suggest corrective measures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to reduce defects and improve product reliability.
  • Collaborate with production operations and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to product quality and operation processes.
Skills
  • Ability to be able to undertake detailed Inspections.
  • Practical understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and related international standards.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis, identify corrective/preventive actions, and track their effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of the laboratory testing requirements and calibration of machines.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Company's Products and Raw Material specifications.
  • Detailed knowledge of the quality standards to be achieved.
  • Detailed Knowledge in data analysis, quality metrics and trends monitoring to identify recurring quality issues.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Quality Manuals and documentation processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of international standards related to the product items.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, coach & train the organizational personnel in quality management system principles.
  • A strong focus on detail to ensure that all products meet quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report to management.
  • Strong leadership qualities to guide and motivate the quality assurance team.
  • Intermediate/Advance experience with Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong experience or ERP systems
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of logistics, compliance, and handling hazardous materials
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    A degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field/experience is required.
  • Experience:

    A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in quality management or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications:

    Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications is a plus.
Physical Demands:
  • Occasionally lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Work regularly requires visits to the production floor, with varying temperatures and high levels of noise; safety equipment such as glasses and protective shoes…
