YOUR ROLEThe Senior QHSE Specialist is responsible for supporting and deploying Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) objectives across assigned NORTAM warehouse and logistics operations.
The Senior QHSE Specialist ensures all locations operate in compliance with customer, legal, regulatory, and CEVA Global/NORTAM QHSE Management Systems, while standardizing processes that drive safety, reliability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?- Deploy and support QHSE objectives, targets, and key performance indicators across multi‑site operations.
- Partner with Operations leadership to identify risks, eliminate waste, standardize processes, and improve safety and quality performance.
- Support Business Development by reviewing RFIs, RFPs, and SOWs to assess QHSE risks and develop compliant, cost‑effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, legal and regulatory standards, and CEVA Global QHSE Management Systems.
- Lead or support Customer Complaints, Claims, and CAPA activities to ensure timely resolution and root‑cause elimination.
- Conduct and support internal audits (ISO, customer, and regulatory) and track corrective actions through closure.
- Develop and maintain methods to measure, monitor, and report QHSE performance, compliance, and system effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance on ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and QHSE best practices to operational teams.
- Participate in management reviews, risk assessments, Kaizen/Lean events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of QHSE Management Systems at site, regional, and country levels.
- Support global quality and healthcare compliance programs, including ISO 9001/13485, GDP, and related certifications.
- Manage quality tools, support system validations where applicable, and maintain project plans for start‑ups and operational improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance, or QHSE roles within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- ISO 9001 Lead or Internal Auditor certification.
- Hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining QHSE Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GDP, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Minimum 2 years applying continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, DMAIC, 5‑Why, RCA, JIT, Poka‑Yoke).
- Proven experience managing projects and change initiatives across cross‑functional teams.
- Additional auditor certifications (ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100/9120, TS16949).
- Experience with FDA, GMP, GFSI, GDP, or computer system validation environments.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- IATA Dangerous Goods or Haz Mat certification.
