Main
Purpose:
The I&E Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all fabricated components, assemblies and finished enclosure packages meet Englobal quality standards, customer specifications and applicable codes and regulations. This role works closely with production, engineering and project management to identify issues early, maintain documentation and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor.
Essential Functions:- Own and maintain Englobal Quality Management Systems including continually working with operations to improve production quality while improving schedule
- Address customer feedback and complaints, acting as a key contact for quality-related inquiries
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system walk-downs, final inspections and startup sequences
- Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales and other stakeholders to proactively improve the quality of components and completed assemblies
- Analyze operational capabilities, develop and maintain quality performance metrics
- Perform Quality System audits and provide support for areas in need of continuous improvement
- Partner with the Engineering department to review (and correct) all shop fabrication drawings before they are released to the floor
- Manage and execute all pre and customer witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing activities
- Travel occasionally, approximately 5-15%
- Identify potential conflicts, deviations or non-compliance issues during the fabrication and integration phases and develop corrective action plans
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local codes, as well as project-specific specifications
- Work with dedicated Fabrication Quality Inspector to perform the following:
- Monitor weld procedures or ASME code requirements to verify compliance with company, customer and code specifications
- Maintain compliance to ASME weld procedures and train shop personnel and your direct reports in the following QC measurements, weld procedures, materials traceability and all other ASME documentation requirements including shop traveler generation and various different data reports that our vessels require. POC for collaborating with AI inspectors for code jobs
- Participate in tri-annual review of ASME stamp certifications
- Prepare and maintain various ASME QC records both for fabricated equipment as well as ASME documentation for our welding staff (e.g. WPS, PQR and weld qualification testing and continuity records) including responding to supplier / customer corrective action and respond to non-conformances, either internally generated or customer generated

Physical Requirements:
- Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
- Turning, twisting, bending, and balancing
- Pushing, pulling and reaching
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
- Bachelor's degree in a Quality related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have overall work process knowledge to support the development and maintenance of the quality management system
- Must have problem solving skills to apply methods for RCA (Root Cause Analysis). Understanding of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
- Knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes and required error proofing and other quality systems as needed to provide flawless quality
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (NEC, NFPA, ATEX, IECEX, ISO, API, ASNT, ASME, AWS, etc.)
- Knowledgeable in ASME inspection process - incoming inspection, material certification and marking requirements and in-process inspection
- ASME Knowledge in code sections for hydrostatic testing and be able to generate ASME records (required data reports, shop travelers, etc.)
- ASME Section I, IV or VIII and B31.3 code knowledge along with AWS code specifications required
- Must be meticulous about capturing and retaining information
- Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Record-keeping software, etc.)
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to explain issues clearly to team
- Must be analytical and detail oriented
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Previous supervisory experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
