QC Welding Inspector
Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC (KSPS) is hiring a QC Welding Inspector for work at various job sites across the United States. This role will provide field quality control support for turnaround projects. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Our TeamKSPS is a division of Koch Industries, offering plant services to refining, petrochemical, chemical, and power generation sectors. KSPS focuses on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, delivering turnaround management, specialty welding, mechanical services, coatings, and project management solutions.
What You Will Do- Perform quality control functions with a high regard for integrity, including development and execution of field inspection plans.
- Maintain and update digital quality packages for client and corporate quality personnel, including status reports on quality issues.
- Keep daily logs to inform site and corporate quality personnel.
- Collaborate with quality personnel on site respectfully and professionally.
- Handle material receiving, inspection, and approval.
- Oversee third‑party NDE and heat treatment, reviewing documentation for work accuracy.
- Review welder qualifications prior to work execution.
- Monitor and inspect field welds and flange make‑ups for code compliance, recording logs.
- Conduct in‑person field reviews of work performed by KSPS staff as required.
- Interact with KSPS engineering, client, and third‑party inspectors.
- Work long hours and shift schedules that may require up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week for extended periods.
- Work in confined spaces and climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air‑purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
- Undergo respiratory protection fit testing, pulmonary function testing, and potentially additional medical examinations. Hearing and vision within normal ranges may be required.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to read and interpret ISO drawings, P&, installation, and fabrication plans.
- Familiarity with ASME, API, and NBIC codes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of non‑destructive examination and welding methods.
- Certified Welding Inspector certificate or API 510 certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with pressure vessel modifications.
- Experience with flange inspection and assembly.
- Experience with pipe fabrication and installation.
- Experience with fired equipment (flares, heaters, etc.).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
