Overview
Join NuScale Power as a Quality Assurance Engineer 4. This fully remote role requires occasional travel and is focused on the commercial nuclear industry, with experience in ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21. The QA Project Engineer supports company/client projects by representing quality assurance throughout planning, coordination, and execution, serving as a key liaison between the QA team and internal/external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Interact with project teams from multiple companies to manage cross‑functional quality interfaces.
- Provide input and support on a wide spectrum of quality and process‑related solutions, including traceability matrix development.
- Coordinate quality responses to customer Requests for Information and other marketing activities.
- Maintain quality activities in work‑management plans and adapt to changing business development environments.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues, escalating within NuScale when necessary.
- Lead project‑related activities through quality leads, supervisors, and managers.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures to enable efficient quality project execution.
- Support project risk assessment and mitigation activities.

- Education:
Bachelor of Science in a technical field. - Experience:
Minimum 8 years in quality assurance, familiar with ASME NQA‑1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21; prior experience as quality lead on large, complex projects. - Technical Writing:
Excellent writing skills. - Organization:
Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases. - Preferred: ISO 9001 experience, knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1, and commercial nuclear experience.
- Industry Requirement:
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
- Communicate clearly using phone, personal interaction, and computers.

- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and using hands to operate office equipment.
- Travel locally and nationally using common transportation.
- Target annual pay range: $127,104 – $153,401 (full range $113,955 – $178,237).
