Building on the success of our established lab in China, we are expanding our presence in the U.S. with a new state-of-the-art Medical Device Testing Laboratory in Houston. Our mission is to support the testing of medical devices that not only comply with regulatory requirements but also meet the real-world needs of patients and healthcare providers.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Technician to join our medical device testing laboratory. In this hands-on role, you will perform physical tests of medical devices using company internal test procedures or reference methods (ASTM, ISO, etc) as required. The ideal candidate will work on, under the supervision of the lead testing engineer, sample preparation, test setup, data acquisition, sample analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of samples for testing and analysis
- Conduct physical and mechanical tests on a wide variety of medical materials
- Accurately document and input test data using basic computer applications
- Organize lab supplies, maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Track, label and store all samples and maintain accurate data logging and records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace
- Assist with reporting results to the lab manager
- Comply with Quality Management System
- Participating in training sessions and profession development opportunities as required
- High school diploma or equivalent - Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Basic mechanical aptitude (formal training not required)
- Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control practices
Must possess basic computer, mathematics, and science skills - Technical or laboratory experience is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work under minimal supervisor
- Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking during sample collection, preparation, and testing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, lab coats
