Job Description

$2,500.00 Sign-On Bonus! We seek a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team at Neartown Animal Clinic to help ensure we provide great experiences for our clients and patients. The Lead Veterinary Technician supports the veterinarians in ensuring quality care for all pets in the hospital. The Lead Veterinary Technician assists doctors and the medical support team in providing exceptional medical care, education, and customer service to clients on all aspects of pet health.

The Lead Veterinary Technician ensures a safe, efficient, and collaborative hospital environment by supporting and encouraging a positive team culture. Pay range of $24.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities and Benefits
  • Perform initial evaluation of the pets condition and advise the veterinarian regarding the nature of the visit, preventative care due, and client concerns.
  • Restrain animals safely, efficiently, and compassionately during examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and prepare laboratory samples as requested by the veterinarian, i.e., urine, fecal, and ear cytology. Record results in the patients medical record and communicate results to the veterinarian in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare and perform radiographs following proper safety procedures.
  • Prepare and set up for surgical procedures while utilizing knowledge of proper sterile field requirements.
