Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Houston, TX

Join our dedicated team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine, providing vital healthcare services to Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.

Required Skills:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
  • Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related specialties
  • Comfortable performing interview-based assessments with some physical examinations (range of motion, muscle strength testing)
  • Ability to work independently within established protocols
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Capable of accurately completing reports and documentation within tight timelines
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran-related assessments
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms or remote documentation
  • Certification in medical assessments or related training
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or similar settings
  • Previous experience working with veteran populations is a plus
Other Requirements:
  • Provider must own or have access to a suitable office within 50 miles of Houston, TX (if working from own office)
  • Willingness to perform flexible scheduling, including part-time shifts (4–8 hours) on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to complete necessary credentialing and onboarding promptly
  • Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding medical practice and documentation

Hourly Pay Rate: $402.00
