Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine IN and Make a Difference in Veterans’ Lives
Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving those who have served our country? We are seeking experienced and committed professionals to join our team as Locum Nurse Practitioners specializing in General Medicine.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide, supporting Veterans' healthcare needs in a flexible, rewarding environment.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in your state
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and strength testing
- Ability to conduct interviews and perform non-treatment exams efficiently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Capable of following protocols and completing detailed reports accurately
Skills:
- Experience with compensation and pension examinations
- Background in orthopedic surgery or disability evaluation
- Familiarity with VA procedures and documentation
- Previous work in a telehealth or remote setting
Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in general or internal medicine
- Prior experience performing C&P exams or similar assessments is advantageous
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of assigned locations or have your own office in designated areas
- Willingness to work on a PRN basis, with flexible days and hours, including half-day and full-day shifts
- Ability to complete exams and administrative tasks independently
- Reliable internet and communication tools for remote coordination if applicable
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required
- Travel to designated exam sites included within compensation
- Hourly Rate: $402.00 (flat rate for 4-hour or less shifts; $1200.00 daily rate for longer shifts)
- One-Time Bonus: $650 upon initial training completion and first exams performed
- Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit
- Full medical benefits (W-2), paid sick leave, and licensure/certification reimbursements when applicable
- Robust referral bonus program and dedicated support team to assist you throughout your assignment
