Responsibilities

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122‑bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women’s services. The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. The facility is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyerland shopping districts and is only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown. Our continuum of care includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to patients attending the Outpatient programs. Monday‑Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)

• Provide medical management and assessment of patients.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the adolescent patient population.
• Document nursing care treatment and patient’s response to treatment.
• Liaise with the treatment team to ensure a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year as an RN in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas from the State Board of Nursing.

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
