Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Nurse in the Pre Op and PACU departments at a facility located in Houston, TX. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia care to patients. Daily responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Additionally, the nurse will provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Strong clinical skills in pre-operative and post-anesthesia care
- Excellent assessment, patient monitoring, and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and the ability to act quickly and effectively
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or similar surgical environment is preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
