Role Overview :
As a Locum Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in conducting interview-based exams and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, primarily focused on non-treatment, administrative evaluations. This position offers the flexibility to work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments effectively. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making this an ideal opportunity for professionals with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension assessments.

Required Skills:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with eligibility to practice in your respective state
- Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and interview skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical assessments including range of motion and muscle testing
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete reports accurately and timely
- Ability to manage time effectively within schedule constraints
Skills:
- Experience with veterans’ health assessments or compensation & pension examinations
- Knowledge of VA benefit processes or related documentation procedures
- Certification in specific medical areas such as orthopedic assessments
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission portals
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN or higher) from an accredited institution
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in general, internal, or family medicine
- Prior experience with administrative or assessment-based medical evaluations highly desirable
- Must be local to assigned locations; travel is included in rates for selected areas
- Willingness to work on an ongoing PRN basis, including weekends or flexible hours as needed
- Ability to complete required training and onboarding promptly
- No additional reimbursement for certifications or portal training ahead of employment
