Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical-Surgical RN – Houston, Texas

Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Houston, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; no call required

Highlights:

• 14–22 bed pediatric medical-surgical unit with a supportive, team-oriented environment
• Patient ratio of 4:1; care includes cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
• Services include neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and thoracic cases such as thoracotomy and pectus bar implants
• EMR system:
  Meditech
• May float to NICU Level 1 or 2 only
• Professional dress code: royal blue scrubs

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – preferred
• Pediatric medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
