Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine – Houston, TX

We are seeking a highly motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide essential general medicine services through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Required Skills:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
  • Knowledge of general medicine principles and practices
  • Experience conducting interview-based assessments and physical examinations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military veteran healthcare
  • Certification in family medicine, internal medicine, or related specialties
  • Comfort with physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Proficiency with medical software and electronic health records
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in general medicine or veteran healthcare settings highly desirable
Other Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
  • Ability to work remotely or at your own office within proximity of Houston, TX
  • Willingness to perform one-time non-treatment exams and assessments without prescribing or treatment
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including half-day and full-day shifts
  • Reliable internet connection and access to necessary office space if working independently
This role offers an excellent hourly pay rate of $402, with the flexibility to choose part-time or full-time schedules, all within a professional environment dedicated to supporting Veterans.
