Grant Mill Healthcare Solutions is supporting anesthesia operations at a large, high-acuity federal medical center in Houston. This role is best suited for CRNAs who are confident practicing autonomously, comfortable serving as the sole anesthesia provider during off-hours, and motivated by mission-driven clinical work serving Veterans.

This is not a routine outpatient role
. Candidates should expect a structured, regulated environment with clear clinical governance, disciplined documentation requirements, and real responsibility for continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia services in accordance with facility policies and scope of practice
  • Serve as the primary anesthesia provider during assigned shifts, including nights and weekends, with anesthesiologist call support available
  • Respond to emergent airway needs and Code Blue events
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, intraoperative management, and post-anesthesia care
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within the facility’s electronic systems
  • Coordinate effectively with anesthesia leadership, surgical teams, and nursing staff
  • Adhere to all federal, facility, and clinical governance requirements
Preferred Experience
  • Experience responding to emergency airways and critical events
  • Locum or contract anesthesia experience
  • Veteran or prior federal healthcare experience (preferred, not required)
Requirements

Current CRNA certification (NBCRNA)

Active, unrestricted RN and CRNA licensure (state alignment required)

Demonstrated experience practicing independently or in CRNA-only coverage models

Strong airway management and emergency response skills

Recent clinical practice in hospital-based or high-acuity settings

Ability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Willingness and ability to complete federal credentialing, background investigation, training, and access requirements
