The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner serves as a health-care provider who specializes in diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with suspected or known heart diseases. The Nurse Practitioner work assignments involve outpatient office and telehealth visits, curbside consults with referring physicians, coordination of pacemaker/defibrillator monitoring, initiation and delivery of IV medications, supervision of stress testing, and patient and/or provider-level didactic presentations. This role offers work-life balance within cardiology, with hours Monday–Friday and no hospital call or weekend requirements.
