Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Townsen Memorial Health System is hiring a Full-Time Endoscopy Registered Nurse for our newest hospital in west Houston, 77072!

The endoscopy Nurse is to administer nursing care to patients before, during, and after routine endoscopic procedures. This includes assessing the patient, preparing the patient for the procedure, and monitoring the patient during the procedure. This role will also serve as a patient advocate, providing support and information to family members.

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including assessments of the patient's needs, allergies, and current medications
• Administer medications, such as sedatives and pain medication, as necessary
• Assist the physician during the procedure
• Provide patient and family education on endoscopic procedures and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedure

• Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, equipment, and medications
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse in the State of Texas;
  License must remain active and unencumbered while employed.
• One (1) year of experience in endoscopic nursing
• Basic Life Science (BLS) certified.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire.
