As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with departmental and state standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, follow nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care in the medical record; administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex terminology
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start
- Registered Nurse with an active license in Texas or a compact license
- Associate Degree required;
Bachelor Degree preferred - At least one year of experience in an acute hospital Med Surg unit
