Job Summary and Qualifications

* What you will do in this role:

* You will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with Congenital Heart Disease and/or Surgery

* You will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered and holistic

* You will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment

* You will participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement

* You will incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

What qualifications you will need:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

* PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
* (RN) Registered Nurse

* Associate Degree; BSN required w/12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)

* Must have 1 year recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital

* CCRN Preferred
