DPS is now hiring a Registered Nurse for a Correctional Facility in Houston, TX.
Registered Nurses Job DetailsLocation:
Houston, TX
Temporary to hire
Starting Pay Rate: $50.00/ hour + (based on experience)

Registered Nurses Responsibilities- Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients.
- Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, treatments to inmate patients. Assist physicians with medical treatments.
- Applies surgical dressings & bandages.
- Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing.
- Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition.
Associate Degree in Nursing;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
Current Texas RN license required.
ACLS or BLS required.
SAMA training
Job RequirementsValid Texas Driver License
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a correctional facility.
Med Surg, ER, IMU/ICU Experience
Triage Experience
Previous prior correctional facility experience. (preferred)
