RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week

• Operating room operates from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (6 rooms), 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (3 rooms), 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (2 rooms), then on-call team coverage

• Shift starts at 6:30 AM with daily huddle at 6:45 AM

• Weeknight and weekend call required with 30-minute response time

• Staff self-schedule on-call shifts 1-2 per week depending on PTO requests

• Weekends covered by 24-hour on-call Saturday/Sunday

• Call shifts during week begin at end of regular shift (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

• Only 1 requested shift off allowed for all staff between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day

• 2 years OR circulating experience at acute care hospital required

• Varied skill set required:
General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Robotics

• Cardiovascular OR experience required

• CNOR certification preferred

• 5+ years experience preferred

• BLS certification required

• May float to Preop Holding area

• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios

• Work with EMR system Meditech ORM

• Handle heavy robotics, gynecology, general surgery, ENT, colorectal, vascular, and urology procedures

• Hospital provides scrubs

• Artificial nails, dips, gels not permitted

• Must be flexible and able to work in fast-paced changing environment

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 14-room surgical suite including 2 cardiovascular operating rooms and 12 general operating rooms located on the second floor of the South Tower. The facility maintains a full surgical staff with 8 registered nurses and 8 surgical technologists providing specialized cardiovascular and general surgical services.
