We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to launch and lead our new mobile acute care service in Houston. Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will deliver urgent and acute care services in a mobile, in-home setting. The NP will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, and treatments for patients of all ages, enhancing access to high-quality care and reducing unnecessary hospital visits.
Clinical Care- Perform comprehensive health assessments and formulate differential diagnoses.
- Initiate and manage evidence-based treatment plans for acute illnesses and injuries.
- Administer IV fluids, medications, and perform point‑of‑care testing.
- Perform minor procedures including wound care, splinting, and suturing.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in the development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to promote understanding and adherence.
- Travel throughout the Houston area in company‑provided vehicles alongside a Medical Technician.
- Deliver care in non‑traditional, home‑based environments with professionalism and adaptability.
- Adhere to mobile safety protocols and all company policies related to vehicle and equipment usage.
- Maintain readiness and organization of medical equipment and supplies while on the road.
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, mobile care, or high‑acuity outpatient settings.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Board‑Certified Nurse Practitioner in TX.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs while carrying equipment.
- Day Shift; weekends required.
- Mobile Healthcare open 7 days a week.
