Salary Range: $79,092 to $93,049

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Texas Heart Institute at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an experienced registered nurse for its cardiology practice located in Fannin Tower. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing nursing-level care via telephone and MyChart in order to assist patients with clinical questions, prescription management, and antithrombotic medication management. Experience with INR sliding scales is highly preferred.

Job Duties
  • Provide support to patients via telephone and MyChart with clinical questions and concerns.
  • Manage prescription refills and prior authorization requests.
  • Assist patients with medication and dosing of antithrombotic medications.
  • Document encounters in the patient medical record.
  • Enter orders as appropriate on behalf of physicians.
  • Communicate with external providers regarding orders and care of patients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Two years of relevant experience as a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Degrees in lieu of experience will not be accepted.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
