The role encompasses the full patient experience: pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure, including work in the surgery suite.
- Retrieve individual records promptly upon request
- Monitor collection, processing, maintenance, storage, and access to patient and clinical records
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative visits as required
- Support RN with opening and closing duties
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and operating room
- Chart and prepare surgery and progress notes
- Support physician during procedures as necessary
- Clean and sterilize operating room and instruments
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physician's instructions to patients and caregivers
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain appropriate medical supplies
- Use of communication devices like telephone and computer
- Visual and auditory acuity
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting up to 25 pounds

Key Skills/Qualifications- Valid and current State LVN/LPN License
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire, maintained annually
- Clinical judgment regarding wound assessment and signs of infection, bleeding, healing
- Ability to interpret instructions in various formats
- Proficiency in writing reports and correspondence
- Problem-solving skills and logical reasoning
- Familiarity with MS Office, including Excel
- Basic math skills
Graduate of an accredited LVN/LPN program with successful passing of the state licensing exam.
Experience- Less than 1 year as an LVN/LPN
- Experience in a cosmetic surgery center is a plus
