Registered Nurse (RN), NICU Level 4 (Night Shift)
Texas Children’s Hospital invites a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on nights. The role requires a dedicated RN who excels in a fast‑paced environment, providing comprehensive, family‑centered care to critically ill newborns and infants.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent; current BSN enrollment acceptable.
- Licensed in Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact; BLS certification required.
- Minimum nine months of professional nursing experience.
- Strong interpersonal, time‑management, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Previous NICU or ICU experience strongly preferred.
- Assess, plan, educate, implement, and evaluate age‑appropriate nursing care.
- Collect and analyze data from the medical record to coordinate patient care.
- Identify patient teaching, discharge planning, nutrition, functional status, and pain management needs.
- Develop and revise individualized plans of care based on assessment.
- Document patient responses and recognize progress toward desired outcomes.
- Ensure confidentiality and act as a resource in educating new staff.
