Essential Functions :
Patient-Centered Care
- Promote optimal functioning of the individual/family throughout the disease experience.
- Integrate physiological and psychosocial components into care using the nursing process.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families to support informed decision-making and self-care.
- Deliver evidence-based oncology nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accountability for the quality and consistency of patient care.
- Document nursing care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in continuing education programs and maintain current knowledge in oncology nursing.
- Pursue opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
- Comply with institutional and clinical research protocols as applicable.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and best practices in oncology care.
- Perform indirect nursing activities and administrative tasks that contribute to efficient clinic operations and quality patient care.
- Oncology Nursing experience
- Managing side effects of cancer and cancer treatments
- Good IV skills
- OCN preferred
- Computer literate
- Bilingual - A+ but not mandatory
