Licensed Vocational Nurse Opportunity
West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency.
We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.
West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The LVN will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. The LVN will use the Nursing process to manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on appropriate standards, policies and procedures.
The LVN shall delegate patient care duties to other members of the nursing team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continue professional development. The LVN is also a member of the multidisciplinary team and performs duties as assigned.

- Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Licensure and certification
Required:
Current Texas State Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications. - Experience
Required:
Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
