Responsibilities- Work in collaboration with the attending physician to perform medical acts in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (#301.152, Texas Occupations Code) and Medical Practice Act (#.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, valid license to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Geriatric or Pediatric).
- Has Limited Prescriptive Authority.
- Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
- Two years related experience.
Special Requirements
- Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.
- Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal - Exceptional Verbal Communication (e.g., Public Speaking)
- Languages:
English/Spanish Preferred - Medical Terms
- Advanced Education/Training:
Adult, Family, Geriatric or Pediatric Practitioner Program;
Master’s Degree in Nursing
