Founded in 1965, Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) is a nonprofit organization offering impactful volunteer and cultural immersion experiences to young people ages 13 to 22 across the Americas. Originally established to address a public health crisis in Honduras, AMIGOS has grown into a leader in youth leadership, service, and cultural exchange. Over the past six decades, the organization has empowered more than 30,000 young people in 17 countries.

By fostering experiences in leadership and community collaboration, AMIGOS equips youth to play a key role in driving meaningful change in communities around the world.

The 2026 Summer Project Staff role with AMIGOS is an on-site position based in Panama, Costa Rica, Paraguay or The Dominican Republic
. Core responsibilities include delivering transformational leadership experiences and managing project operations. As part of the team, you will facilitate immersive volunteer projects for youth, provide guidance and mentorship, and maintain relationships with local partner organizations. Further responsibilities include planning and organizing programming, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting participants' personal development. This role requires active collaboration with staff and community members to create impactful and positive experiences for everyone involved.
