Director of Fund Development

The Director of Fund Development works closely with the CEO, CSO, Board of Directors, and staff to develop and execute strategic fundraising initiatives that enable Avenue to meet its operating, program, and capital expansion objectives. The organization's annual budget is approx. $14 million, and the Director is responsible for meeting an annual fundraising goal of approx. $4 million. Avenue's financial model blends philanthropy, government investment, and earned revenue to sustain and grow its mission.

The Director leads Avenue's fundraising and communication team, who are collectively responsible for donor cultivation and stewardship; grant proposals and reporting; special events; and communications, marketing, and public relations. Ultimately, the Director contributes to the strategic planning and implementation of coordinated actions that heighten the reputation, visibility, and fund development of Avenue, and upholding organizational values.
