The Trade Marketing Manager – National Accounts supports Tajín USA’s trade marketing efforts for key national retailers and distributor partners. This role focuses on planning and executing programs that drive sales, visibility, and brand growth within major national accounts.
Working with the Head of Trade Marketing, the National Sales Team, and Brand Marketing, this position ensures that marketing plans align with Tajín’s objectives and deliver strong execution across all national customers. This role requires practical trade marketing experience, coordination skills, and a clear understanding of how to drive performance through the distributor network and retail partners.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Trade Marketing in building and executing national trade plans.
- Align trade activities with brand goals and account-specific sales objectives.
- Work with key national retailers and distributors, and their leadership to identify opportunities and create customer-specific programs.
- Manage the annual trade calendar, budgets, and promotional timelines for national accounts.
- Ensure consistent execution and brand alignment across all national accounts.
- Partner with distributors and national retailers to plan and execute programs that increase in-store sales.
- Coordinate promotions, in-store merchandising, demos, and seasonal activations.
- Ensure all initiatives meet retailer requirements and distributor priorities.
- Manage the design, production, and delivery of Point of Purchase (POP) materials.
- Provide distributor and account teams with marketing tools, training, and execution support.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing to turn brand campaigns into retail-ready executions.
- Work with Category Management to apply shopper insights and market data to trade plans.
- Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to align promotions with budgets and inventory.
- Communicate trade plans, timelines, and performance updates to internal and external partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, agencies, and vendors.
- Track trade marketing performance using sales results, ROI metrics, and partner feedback.
- Recommend adjustments to improve program impact and efficiency.
- Manage and report on trade spending for national accounts.
- Share key learnings and best practices with sales and marketing teams.
- Monitor market and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, or sales within the CPG industry.
- Strong understanding of national retail accounts and distributor operations.
- Proven ability to manage promotions, trade budgets, and POP development.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Ability to analyze data and apply insights to drive decisions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and ensure timely execution.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of the food and beverage category and U.S. retail environment.
- Willingness to travel for account meetings, retail visits, and events.
