About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications to spearhead a dynamic portfolio that includes marketing, brand strategy, and a significant direct-response fundraising unit. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for managing a large team of professionals and three direct reports. This role demands an individual with exceptional leadership, cultural fluency, and the ability to operate in a nuanced ecosystem.

The SVP will be a central figure in crisis communications, marketing, and brand strategy, and must be adept at balancing urgency with long-term planning.

Key responsibilities for the SVP include growing the global marketing function, strengthening brand positioning, and increasing engagement across various audiences. The role also involves serving as a senior leader in communications strategy, particularly in crisis situations, and providing strategic counsel on reputational matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic marketing, brand vision, and crisis communications, with a proven track record of leading and developing large teams.

A sophisticated understanding of the Jewish communal ecosystem and campus dynamics is essential, as is the ability to work closely with executive stakeholders and boards. The SVP will be expected to have high emotional intelligence, resilience, and a collaborative leadership style, and to represent the organization with credibility and executive presence.
